Good Intentions or a Plan of Action?

Take ActionI know that many of you have things you want to get accomplished this summer. You have been reading books, looking at pictures, gathering information and visualizing success. Are these things Good Intentions or a Plan of Action? Henry Ford said,

“You can’t build a reputation on what you are going to do.”

Good intentions will only get you so far. In fact they won’t get you very far at all. How long will you wait until you actually take a step of action toward your goal? I know what it’s like to spend time in the research phase. It is fun to dream and think about what could be, but it is very unproductive. In fact, last year my goal was to read about 25 books. I spent a lot of time reading and being inspired, but didn’t get much done. This year, I have shifted my goals from reading to doing. Both are necessary, but I was confusing preparation with action.

I have taken action on a number of things this year that require a great deal of work, but finally things are getting done. In the coming months I will some of these things with you. Hopefully they will inspire you to greater action.

One item that I want to share with you today is an upcoming webinar. It is this coming Thursday in fact. On May 22nd at 7pm, I will be hosting a Webinar called, “Five Creative Ways to Make $1000 this Summer!” It is completely FREE and will cover some very simple business ideas that you can use to generate income. Do you need money for college? Are you saving for a big purchase? Perhaps you would like to build an emergency fund. Maybe you have a home improvement project that you just don’t have the cash for right now. All of these things may be great intentions, but you need a plan of action. This webinar may provide the help you need.

This is a perfect way to get closer to taking action. Yes, it is still just another type of learning and another way to prepare, but perhaps this one will get you motivated to actually take a step. You can find more information here as well as how to sign up. Let’s get past the good intentions stage. Please join me as we take action together!
